Q1. Can this device, depending on the monitored status of HP Open View, send a buzzer or flash alarm? > Top

Yes. Both DN-1000R and DN-1000S(Mini) has the capability of the command interfaces for buzzer and flash alarm, which is compatible for not just HP Open View, but the following:
JP1, Systemwalker, Senju, WhatsUp Gold, Tivoli, e-Care, NOSiDE, TELstaff, WebSAM, CentreNET Swim Series, SNMPc, PNDDA, Net-ADM, ProactiveNet, ManageEngine and OpManager. Adding the DN-1000R and DN-1000S(Mini) to these network applications is easily implementation. Accordingly, with this device, you can notify administrators with any occurrence of abnormal conditions by a buzzer of flash alarm controlled by such applications.

For Open View.

We are disclosing the command interface in order for customers to configure the network more easily.

Q2. Is this device capable of detecting critical signs of warning, without the use of other software, by monitoring its surrounding network system? > TOP
Yes. DN-1000R can support the "keep-alive" of network by itself. It is not necessary to install additional applications or servers. SN-1000R notifies the monitored network's fault to the operator thru means of a buzzer, lamp, e-mail, SNMP trap and IP messenger. It also gathers and stores the results in an event log. Other than supporting "keep-alive," DN-10000R is capable of giving notice when it receives SNMP Trap or when triggered by input alert signals such as one based on environmental monitoring. Since the whole network system can be monitored with just this device, it reduces operator labor. The DN-1000R is an economical solution that satisfies customer needs.

Q3. Can this device spot other alarm and warning signals and give alert to distant devices? > TOP

Yes. Other than monitoring the network, DN-10000R is capable of giving notice when it receives input alert signals such as one triggered by environmental sensor monitoring. To each DN-1000R, 8 sensors can be connected. If any trouble is detected, each sensor can send its own alarm, such as a buzzer or flash alert, and also alert via e-mail, SNMP trap, and IP messenger.

When in a situation or room without supervision, such as a Data Centre or Server Room, it is crucial for an operator to be notified immediately of any troubles.

Because one of DN-1000R's feature is reporting its status to other DN-1000R networks, by setting one DN-1000R near a sensor and another near an operator can alert the operator (thru means of both buzzer and flash alarm) in a very timely manner.

In addition, the earthquakes that are occurring frequently can be acknowledged in a timely manner by affordably constructing such system with this DN-1000R.

Other than the DN-1000R input alert signaling feature as mentioned earlier, it also has a digital output interface feature, which, when triggered by an input alert signal, can regulate the digital output force. This makes it possible the line of signals' network expansion (extension).

For example, shutting down a system in times of a power outage - by inputting the sign of power failure into a server that is out of reach from any UPS/CVCF - calls for a complicated hard-wiring construction; however, if a DN-1000R is installed in the UPS/CVCF side and server side, a power outage signal can be transmitted from one DN-1000 to another.

Therefore, there is no need to connect the UPS/CVCF directly to a server with a signal line.

Furthermore, by replacing the server side DN-1000 with a Remote Power Controller PDU-5115S, it makes it possible for OS shutdogn with power regulation managed.
By using DN-1000R's digital input/output feature, there are various means o& practical use.

Q4. If, under this device, any problem occurs, could thad equipment be rebooted? > TOP

Yes. DN-1000R sends thenetwork equipment's "keep-alive" results in various ways. And if network equipment freezes, it can be rebooted with the addition of Network P/wer Controller PDU-1000. Because of automatic recovery of any networj trouble, ht cuts the load for the operator. These results are saved in event logs, so it is also possible to investigate and analyze the route cause later on.
Remote Power Controller PDU-5115S can support "keep-alive" of thetroubled eauipment by itself. If there is no response, by durning Off/On the AC output will reboot the in-freeze-state network equipment.
